Management team
Navitas Pharma was formed in order to develop a new class of cardiovascular and metabolic agents for the US market. The current company was founded by Drs. Glenn Cornett, Jim Page and Karen Page based on work begun on the lead asset in 2003. The founders currently also serve as the management team, providing a lean, efficient structure for executing against Navitas PharmaÕs strategic objectives. The experience of the management team encompasses 60 years of work experience, seasoned further with 9 graduate degrees.

Glenn Cornett, MD, PhD; Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Cornett has substantial experience spanning management, strategy, marketing and sales. Dr. Cornett has worked in major pharma (Lilly), consulting (McKinsey), and early-stage biotechnology (several strategy/deals-consulting clients over the past six years), and at Los Alamos National Laboratory. At Lilly, he had business/strategic responsibility for all pre-Phase III endocrine compounds, including those targeting diabetes and obesity, and did extensive strategy and financial-modeling work on the Cialis licensing transaction with Icos. Over the past several years, Dr. Cornett has assisted in the establishment of several startup companies.
Dr. Cornett has substantial experience in pulmonary hypertension. Prior to his work at Navitas, he worked as a consultant on the valuation and structuring of CoTherixÕ licensing of Ventavis (iloprost for pulmonary hypertension) from Schering AG. On the basis of the Ventavis asset, CoTherix raised $55 million in venture funding, subsequently completed an initial public offering, and was ultimately acquired by Actelion for $420 million. Dr. Cornett is an inventor on all of the current Cicletanine patent applications underlying the CompanyÕs intellectual property portfolio. He holds an MD with Distinction in Research from the University of Michigan and a PhD in neuroscience from UCLA.
James (Jim) Page, JD, MD, MPH; Chief Operating Officer
Dr. James Page holds degrees in engineering, law (first in his class), medicine, and public health. He received clinical training at Stanford University and the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Page has extensive experience in project management, operations research, and risk management in both public and private companies. He is licensed to practice medicine in California, Wyoming, and Colorado and to practice law in Colorado and Wyoming. He also has training and experience in biostatistics and pharmacology. Prior to joining the Company, he served as an Associate Dean and as a Clinical Professor of Medical Education and Public Health at the University of Wyoming. He is an inventor on most of the current Cicletanine patent applications underlying the CompanyÕs intellectual property portfolio.
Karen Page, MA, JD, PhD; Chief Counsel
Dr. Karen Page holds a PhD and MA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, as well as a JD from the University of Denver and a Masters in Economics from the University of Colorado. She practiced corporate and commercial law with a major Denver law firm prior to becoming the manager of shareholder services for an NYSE listed corporation. She has consulted for a variety of for-profit and non-profit entities, including start-up (e.g., WebMiles) and Fortune 100 companies engaging in corporate entrepreneurship (e.g., HP). Dr. Page currently teaches graduate and undergraduate level courses in negotiations, strategy, and venture finance at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Page is an inventor on some of the more recent Cicletanine patent applications underlying the CompanyÕs intellectual property portfolio.
External team
Navitas Pharma uses a highly-qualified external team for preclinical, manufacturing clinical and regulatory matters. Each of these team members has over 20 years of experience. This team has enabled Navitas to reactivate the IND on the companyÕs lead product and to conduct a favorable End of Phase II meeting with the FDA. Further details are available from the company.
